emotional wellness is a necessity, not a luxury.

Bosque Refugio is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to empowering and uplifting women from marginalized communities, with a particular emphasis on women of color, single and young mothers, immigrant and those living below the poverty line.

Our mission is to provide a holistic sanctuary where these women can find solace, support, and opportunities for growth.

Through a range of initiatives --including wellness retreats, community meetups, workshops, and wellness events, --we strive to nourish the mind, body, and spirit of every participant.

At the heart of our vision lies the cultivation of a sustainable food forest with the helping hands of our children, symbolizing our commitment to addressing food insecurity within our communities.  Through this endeavor, we aim to provide nutritious food boxes to the women we serve, ensuring access to fresh, healthy produce for themselves and their families.

Together, we foster a vibrant community where women can find belonging, healing, and empowerment.  With the partnership of our volunteer professionals, our wellness retreats will be designed to honor ancient practices for overall wellness, embracing the wisdom and traditions passed down through generations. By reconnecting with these roots, we empower women to reclaim their heritage and strengthen their well-being.

At Bosque Refugio, we envision a world where every woman has the opportunity to thrive, regardless of her background or circumstances.

Through our collective efforts, we strive to build a future where all women can achieve their fullest potential and contribute positively to their communities.

Welcome to Bosque Refugio, where heritage meets healing, and empowerment flourishes.

About

My name is Ana

I am a Mexican Born-LA native turned Floridian. I became a mother very young and my grandmother, Celina Refugio's, recent passing, inspired me to start Bosque Refugio --to create a refuge in the forest. A nature-based space to mend and liberate ourselves from the emotional pains we carry and pass on as mothers.
